Deco
I worked in this angel themed deco this morning. The page opposite mine also used stitching so I thought I'd kind of try and balance it out with some on my work as well. I have a love/hate relationship with sewing machines (I'd love to be able to use one efficiently but they all hate me and break when I'm within a 100 paces of them!) and something is wrong with the tension on mine that no amount of knob twiddling seems to cure, consequently the top thread has pulled the bobbin thread through but I quite like the effect! Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL Enjoyed doing this, there was no pressure and I just sat down and did it within 10 minutes! That'll be the one and only time no doubt!! :o)

I get that funny tension thing on my (very basic and old) sewing machine too, I think it is the joy of switching different thickness materials, never quite getting the knobs set correctly.
Great piece of work, Maz, I love it!

This is fabulous Maz - 10 minutes - just goes to show what a good eye you have
xx
Thanks Kari & Jill! :o)
Laura ahs been been tutoring me on tension so I'm going to have another twiddle see if that helps!
Don't know about a good eye, as in fairness all the components were done it was just a case of collecting what I thought would work and bunging them together!

Ah but it's the seeing that they can be brought together along with the way that you bung them together that shows the skill of the artist! (so I was told when I made a similar remark about my own work!!!).
Beautiful work, Maz. Oh, and I don't get on with sewing machines either :> Good luck with the lessons!
hugs, Linda.
Thanks, Linda. ;o)
