I used acrylic paint and ink over scraps of old fashioned writing then added the Victorian servant image, the spoon (printed on acetate) and the buttons. The text is dry letter transfers which I then scratched a bit for a more worn look. Quite pleased with this one, I seem to be getting over my more is more attitude!!

Like you I tend to do more than needed, so know how hard it is to simplify, lol. So pleased you managed to with this though.

This is lovely, and I've seen it in person as I now have the book. How did you manage to get such subtle colours with acrylics?

Becky, thanks for your comment. :o) The green is acrylic but the cream is actually emulsion, a tester pot of a Tate colour from the scrapstore! ;oD I just wiped it on in my slapdash way, nothing more technical than that!
